PCCC’s Doris Pagan and Zenya Koporowski were selected for the 2017 All-State Academic Team and joined other top community college students from New Jersey at the annual Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Day Celebration held May 4 in Trenton.

Both students will graduate from PCCC on May 18. Doris will receive her Associate in Science Degree in Human Services, and Zenya will receive her Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration/Accounting.

The NJ Council of Community Colleges honors the All-State Team at PTK Day which is sponsored by the New Jersey Education Association and Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community colleges.

Each year as part of this annual event, community college presidents raise nearly $1 million in scholarships from New Jersey’s senior institutions. These scholarships go to deserving community college students pursuing their bachelor’s degrees in New Jersey.

In related news, Doris Pagan was also named a 2017 Coca-Cola Silver Scholar by PTK. She is one of 50 community college students from across the nation to receive this year’s Silver Scholar honor, which carries a $1,250 scholarship award.

Congratulations Doris and Zenya!
