WORKSHOP TITLE: Preparing for a Successful Transfer

DESCRIPTION: This workshop is appropriate for students in the early to mid stages of their PCCC career. It provides students with an overview of the entire transfer process but focuses on planning and preparation.

GOALS: The goal of this workshop is for students to understand that the transfer process begins early in their PCCC career with self-assessment, research, and careful academic planning, and continues through submitting the transfer application prior to graduation.

1. Students will learn how to identify the characteristics they are looking for in a college or university.
2. Students will be able to research and plan using transfer oriented websites enabling them to make informed decisions.
3. Students will understand the terminology associated with the transfer admission process.
