WORKSHOP TITLE: Learning Styles & Joy of Learning


DESCRIPTION: This one-hour workshop focuses on showing students how knowledge of their learning style helps them learn more effectively and improves their communication skills. Students will obtain the basic type preferences of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and its application in career choices.

GOALS: The goals of the workshop are to introduce the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator ( MBTI ) to students, and to enhance students’ self-awareness and instill a notion that knowledge of learning style is one of the essential life skills to acquire while in college.


STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Students will obtain the basic knowledge of four (4) scales and four (4) temperaments of the MBTI.
2. Students will be able to identify their own learning styles through self guided assessment.
3. Students will be able to list three (3) career interests based on their self- identified MBTI types.
