The role of advising in the registration process is of great significance. Students must make an appointment with the appropriate advisor before they select their courses. Students can find out who their advisor is by contacting the Center for Student Success. Students who have earned forty credits or more in their majors must meet with their department chairpersons for graduation consultation and approval of their schedules.
Advising takes place throughout the year, but the heaviest concentration occurs prior to each new semester, including Fall, Spring, Summer I, and Summer II. This is referred to as Early Registration. Participating in early registration allows students to have greater control over their academic schedules. Early registration dates are published on the College's web page as well as in the Schedule of Classes Booklet distributed prior to the start of early registration period.
