A.S. Degree in Psychosocial Rehabilitation
and Treatment

in cooperation with the Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (SHRP)

This degree program is designed to provide students with a strong general education as well as specialized training in the skills and rehabilitation techniques for a career designed to:

  • Assist persons living with serious mental illness
  • Support people with psychiatric disabilities in a variety of vocational, residential, and case management settings.

PCCC/Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (SHRP)

Students will complete their general education courses at PCCC and their specialized courses at Rutgers SHRP.

Students completing this program shall receive a joint A.S. Degree in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Treatment from Passaic County
Community College and Rutgers SHRP.

Rutgers SHRP  Application Deadlines:
May 15 for the Fall semester
October 15 for the Spring semester

Job Prospects

The A.S. Degree  program in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Treatment  degree will prepare students to enter  a job market in which rehabilitation counselors rank 11th among the top 50 fastest growing occupations expected in the next 10 years.
