DEGREE AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE (A.S.) DEGREE – Liberal Arts
The Science Department at PCCC offers the A.S. degree in Liberal Arts for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution. For ease of transfer, the curriculum is based in the liberal arts allowing students to complete general education requirements. It is designed to fit the curricula of science programs at other colleges. Students may select one of the following degree options:
Science Option
This program is for those who desire a concentration in biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, ecology, or other related science fields and who plan to transfer to a four-year college.

Pre-Professional Scientific Option
This program is for those who plan to attend medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, chiropractic, optometry, podiatry, or other health-related schools, and who plan to transfer to a four-year college.

Biotechnology Option
This program is for those who desire a concentration in biology, biochemistry, cell/molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology or other related science fields and who plan to transfer to a four-year college.
ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE (A.S.) DEGREE Liberal Arts/ Exercise Science Option
This program is designed to promote job placement and career advancement in the field of Exercise Science. The A.S. degree qualifies graduates for a broad spectrum of employment opportunities and may promote advancement to a bachelor’s degree.

FITNESS SPECIALIST CERTIFICATE – Certificate of Achievement
This program prepares students for employment in corporate and commercial health fitness centers.
