DANCE

Dance is the newest addition to performing arts offerings at Passaic County Community College. Students may take classes in dance, pursue performance opportunities for dancers throughout the academic year, and join the Performing Arts Club which is open to all students.

COURSE:  INTRODUCTION TO DANCE

This college- level course covers the history of dance and the influence of dance on life and culture. Students will also explore different dance techniques and learn how dance is created. This course is ideal for students who have an interest in the arts, particularly dance. Classes offer both academic and movement components. Previous dance experience is not required.

 

Introduction to Dance fulfills Humanities/General Education credit requirements and transfers easily (for those students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college). Offered Fall and Spring.
