Human Services Specialist Certificate
Certificate Description: This Certificate is for those interested in securing an entry level position in the counseling and addictions profession and for those wanting to complete the 270 hours of course work as required by the Addiction Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey, Inc. for the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.
Certificate Objectives:
- Apply counseling theories and techniques to guide clients in obtaining their goals and to assist in the change process.
- Implement the theories and skills necessary to be a successful group facilitator.
- Complete a Psychosocial Assessment and diagnose on five axes of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
