Fieldwork - Human Services

Students walking at the Main Campus Park

The fieldwork courses are an important part of the Human Services Program. They allow students to apply concepts learned in the classroom to real life situations. The fieldwork courses engage students in supervised human services practice and provide opportunities for students to perform professional tasks under supervision and to apply concepts and principles learned in both class and field.

Students are required to complete 135 hours (approximately 8 hours per week for 15 weeks) at a field placement plus attend weekly supervision (1 hour per week for 15 weeks) with Professor D'Arcangelo to share their experiences and discuss issues that may arise at their placements.
