Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree - Liberal Arts
Passaic County Community College offers those students interested in theater and the performing arts the option to earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in theater. PCCC has an active theater program with performance opportunities for students, a modern, fully-equipped theater, and a performing arts club.
About the Theater Option
This option is for those who plan to pursue a B.A. or B.F.A. in Theater or Performing Arts and enter entry-level careers in theater arts, acting, communications, teaching, and other related fields. Minimum grade of "C" is required for all courses in major.
The option also provides a well-rounded liberal arts education that will enable students to transfer smoothly to a four-year college. Graduates should be able to:
- Communicate effectively in standard English and be proficient in math.
- Use analytical and critical thinking skills to do research.
- Understand the complex world of history and politics and be familiar with the basic concepts of social and natural science.
- Gain aesthetic appreciation and maintain a lifelong interest in learning.
