Ursula Cortez

"When I first came to this country, I did not know any English. I decided to go to school to learn the language first. That was the reason I enrolled in the ESL Program at PCCC in the Fall of 1994. I studied English for about 2½ years. I learned a lot and then I decided to go for my AA degree in Liberal Arts. I graduated in May 1999 with a 3.85 G.P.A. I also received the ESL Graduate Achievement Award given by the ESL and Modern Language Department. Being a student at PCCC was the best decision I have ever made in my life."
