Using the Internet (Page 1 of 4)
It is a common misconception that anything can be easily found on the Internet. It is true that the Internet may contain up to millions of Web pages on a given topic. However, unlike the Library Catalog or Online Databases, the Internet as a whole is not arranged in any systematic fashion. Furthermore, there is little control over the information that is published on the Internet. Anybody with access to and knowledge of the proper technology can publish a Web page. Thus, information from the Internet must be carefully evaluated by the user. Despite the difficulties, the Internet can be a valuable tool if used properly.
