Student Support Services Program Counselor
A full-time grant funded administrative position with direct responsibilities in assisting eligible students (i.e. first generation, low income, or disabled) through graduation and to facilitate transfer to a four year institution. The Counselor will conduct individual and group academic and career counseling sessions; assist with the development, administration, and evaluation of retention programs; promote program goals; monitor student progress and recommend appropriate interventions and services; and assist students with preparing for graduation or transferring to a four year institution.
A Master's degree in Student Development, Counseling, Social Work, Education or related fields; a minimum of two years experience in an urban environment working with academically disadvantaged students preferred.
