Dear Friends and Fellow Counselors,
 
Welcome back!  I know you are all looking forward to another remarkable year so let’s begin with some exciting news.  The Passaic County School Counselors Association has finally entered the 21st century in our dues collections! With thanks to the New Jersey School Counselors Association you can now pay the membership dues online by credit card.  It’s easy.   Let me walk you through the process:

 
Go to NJSCA.org and elect the 3rd box on the left that says NJSCA Membership.

 
Select Link to Online Membership Registration.

Select County Association Dues and Join or Renew Membership.

Fill in info requested (the same info is required for application to NJSCA or to PCSCA).

Select Passaic County Membership Dues and submit your fee using Visa, Master Card, American Express, or Discover Card.  As soon as it is forwarded to us, we will acknowledge receipt of your payment.   It’s that simple!

 
If you are already a member of NJSCA the platform will recognize your email and ask for your confirmation number.  You just need to click on Send my confirmation number by email and your number will be sent immediately.  Put that number in the box and select MODIFY on the next screen which will allow you to add the PCSCA membership.

 
My thanks to Jim Lukach and Mark McGrath for introducing this time saver to all of the county presidents at this year's NJSCA Leadership Development Institute.  I hope that while you are filling out your PCSCA membership you will consider joining NJSCA as well.  For information on all of the benefits of NJSCA please go to NJSCA.org.

 
We have an exciting list of hosts for this year.  I am pleased to welcome back some valued friends along with some new hosts.  Our list of speakers and educational topics for this year will be released on the website as soon as they are confirmed.  Please be assured the executive committee is working to be sure there are topics that will be of interest to all of our counselors in elementary, middle school and high school levels.  Our initiative allowing us to reimburse up to $50.00 for professional development courses will continue this year.  Information and forms will be available on the website.

 
In addition, we will be instituting an open “mike policy” during our meetings.   Counselors with questions or issues to discuss will be able to bring them up at a meeting.  With the wisdom of all of our members combined I cannot imagine a question going unanswered.

 
I am looking forward to greeting you in October for our Eastwick College/Hohokus Schools meeting and hope you will be able to join us for all of our meetings this year!
