SILK CITY HIGHLIGHTS 
AT PASSAIC COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

 
Celebrating Black History Month, the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council at Passaic County Community College is pleased to present SILK CITY HIGHLIGHTS, an exhibition of photographs by BRIAN C. LORIO that celebrates the people and atmosphere of Paterson, New Jersey.  The show is on view in the Broadway & LRC Galleries at Passaic County Community College through February 27, 2014

The Broadway & LRC Galleries are located at Passaic County Community College, Broadway at Memorial Drive in downtown Paterson, New Jersey.   Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

A reception for the artist will be held in the Broadway Gallery, February 6, 4:30-6:30 p.m.  Admission to the exhibit and reception is free and open to the public. 

Brian C. Lorio is an attorney, photographer, and an adjunct professor in the English Department at Passaic County Community College, where he also coaches the Debate Team. In this exhibit, Lorio’s major themes are street scenes, festivals and the downtown area of Paterson.  Selections from his “Subway Series” are also on display.

Lorio received a B.S. degree in Speech from Northwestern University and his J.D. from the University of Illinois, College of Law.  He recently had a solo exhibition, Watching the Closing Doors, at the Red Eye Café, Montclair, NJ and participated in a juried show, Unchained: The Art of the Bicycle, Artworks Trenton, Trenton, NJ.   Lorio also won First Place in the “Urban Paterson Photo Contest”, William Paterson University.  For more information about his work, visit www.500px.com/bclorio.
