PCCC FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATORS CHOSEN FOR DISTINGUISHED PANELS THIS SPRING


Passaic County Community College is proud to announce that several of our faculty members and administrators have been chosen to make presentations at serveral prestigious events this spring. All were selected from numerous talented candidates who submitted proposals to the presentation committees of these organizations. We congratulate them and are honored by the well-deserved recognition they have received.

MARCH 13-  NJ Edge. NET Faculty Showcase
College of St. Elizabeth, Morristown

Professor Nesius, PCCC’s Writing Center Coordinator, presented a workshop on “The Hybrid Tutoring Experience: The Path to Better Writers."

Professor Ronkowitz, the Director of PCCC’s Writing Initiative, offered the workshop “Using Student Blogs as Reflective Practice.”

MARCH  26-29 - 43rd Annual TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Convention ;  Denver, Colorado. 

More than 6,000 teachers from all over the world attended this convention. According to convention organizers, only 19% of those who apply to be presenters are accepted.  Professors Moody and Rinkerman made three presentations:

*Forging Connections Between Interactive Music Videos and Grammar
*Learning Contextualized Vocabulary with Internet Tools
*Constructing Language-experience Books with PowerPoint

Professor Della Fera will present: “Art in the Writing Classroom: Reviving Reflection and Sharpening Critical Thinking.”
