PCCC STEM NASA Scholars Stephany Cabrera and Pascual Rosario along with Professor Dennis Reer
talk with Joe Torres, host of Tiempo on WABC-TV, during a May 21 taping at the network’s New York studio.

Stephany Cabrera and Pascual Rosario, both STEM students who were selected for the 2017 NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars program, were interviewed by Joe Torres, host of WABC-TV’s Tiempo program about their recent experience as participants in an onsite NASA workshop.

Aired June 4, the segment  also features STEM professor Dennis Reer. Tiempo is a weekly program focused on topics and people of interest to the Latino community.

Stephany and Pascual were among 14 PCCC students selected from nationwide community college applicants for a workshop this spring onsite at a NASA location. Stephany and Pascual attended the same April workshop at the  NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia.

The scholars tell Torres about the projects they worked on at NASA and how the experience influenced their career goals.

Professor Reer offers information about the STEM program at PCCC and opportunities, such as NCAS, offered to students here.
