Employment and Income Verification

Passaic County Community College uses The Work Number to provide automated income and employment verifications.  The Work Number service from Equifax is a fast and secure way to obtain proof of your employment or income – a necessary step in many of today’s life events, including obtaining credit, financing a home or automobile, obtaining a housing lease or securing government benefits or services.  The Work Number simplifies the verification process and accelerates qualifying decisions through an online system available to Verifiers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

 Employees that choose to do so can access one (1) free Employment Data Report (EDR) each year through The Work Number.  The EDR gives you the ability to see the information potentially being given out on you when a verification is requested, and a listing of Verifier requests for a two year period.  For additional information about The Work Number, or to access your Employment Data Report, please visit www.theworknumber.com/employees and use the following log-in information: 

 Employer (PCCC) User ID: 102437 
Employee PIN: last 4 numbers of your social security + year of birth (example 12341966)

 HOW TO USE THE WORK NUMBER:

 For Commercial verifications (mortgage lenders, pre-employment, property leasing, credit cards, etc.), employees should instruct the Verifier to:

• Go to www.theworknumber.com and select “I’m a Verifier”
• Once there, they will be prompted to provide the following information:
  1. Employer Name (Passaic County Community College)
  2. Employer Code (102437)
  3. Your social security number

 For Social Services verifications, available to qualifying assistance agencies only including Medicaid, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, TANF, Child Support, and Public Housing, employee should instruct the Verifier to:

• Go to www.theworknumber.com and select “I’m a Verifier”
• They will be prompted to provide the following information:
  1. Employer Name (Passaic County Community College)
  2. Employer Code (102437)
  3. Your social security number
